Pressboard File Folders
Ever wonder why there are different types of pressboard folders? We'll explain the different types right here so you can choose an application that will fit your needs perfectly. Pressboard file folders, simply put, are file folders that are more durable than standard card-stock based manila or color folders. The sheen or appearance of a pressboard folder is desired in many professional settings such as law firms or financial institutions. Pressboard folders come in top tab or end tab format, depending on how you file your documents. Option dividers inside pressboard folders offer an easy way to separate documents. Any expansion on our file folders are made with a Tyvek® gusset which allows for maximum strength, increasing the life of that pressboard folder.
Type I Pressboard Folders
The filing industry standard is type one, 20pt pressboard. This folder is the strongest, most durable of the pressboard folder family. It is only available in end tab filing applications. Type I pressboard has a distinctive mottle or marble appearance with a smooth, glossy finish. Type I is chosen when superior durability and appearance is desired.
