You can file letter files from front to back and legal from side to side. Side to side filing is possible by hanging one edge of the folder on the z-bar at the front of the drawer body and the other edge on the back of the drawer body. FireKing offers asbestos-free, dry insulations with an electrostatic powder-coated finish applied to the sides and bottom. The finish is scratch-resistant. UL® Class 350 1-Hour with Impact Certification

The FireKing lateral file cabinet has passed Class 350 certification requirements, approved by Underwriters Laboratories. The test is conducted by placing one of the file cabinets in a special oven that heats the unit to 1700 degrees for one hour. Then, the unit is immediately hoisted 30 feet into the air and dropped to a concrete pad. The unit is then opened, and contents cannot have fire damage. Thanks to the steel lattice reinforcement, FireKing offers impact protection on all sides of their fire-resistant cabinets.

If mechanical parts of the vertical file cabinets break down with normal use, FireKing, at its option, repair or replace the defective parts to the original owner of the safe. Labor costs will be paid by FireKing for two years from the date of purchase with prior authorization. In the event that a FireKing File Cabinets is damaged in a fire, at any time while in possession of the original purchaser, Kire King will replace the cabinet free of charge, and ship it freight collect to the original owner.
