FireKing Classic™ 1-Hour Fire-Rated File Cabinet, Letter-Size, 3-Drawer

To keep your documents safe, FireKing offers a 1-Hour UL® Class 350 Fire with Impact Rated File Cabinets that will withstand temperatures of 1700° F for 1 hour. The model is designed for letter-size documents and has 3-drawers. A high-security Medeco® Key Lock is designed to keep burglars out and comes standard on Classic models. Insulation between drawers makes each drawer a separate fireproof unit, preventing a fire from spreading if one drawer is left open. Classic file cabinets are ETL water-resistant verified. The file drawers have high sides, so no need to worry about purchasing a separate file frame. A 2-position catch allows access to a single drawer while the other drawers remain locked. Exterior panels can be replaced on this model if they become damaged. FireKing Classic file cabinets are proudly made in the U.S.A. and come with a limited, lifetime warranty.

UL® Class 350 1-Hour with Impact Certification

The FireKing Classic insulated file cabinet has passed Class 350 certification requirements, approved by Underwriters Laboratories. The test is conducted by placing one of the file cabinets in a special oven that heats the unit to 1700 degrees for one hour. Then, the unit is immediately hoisted 30 feet into the air and dropped to a concrete pad. The unit is then opened, and contents cannot have fire damage. Thanks to the steel lattice reinforcement, FireKing offers impact protection on all sides of their fire-resistant cabinets.

The following video is a demonstration of what happens to a file cabinet during a fire. Standard filing cabinets do not withstand a fire alone. A FireKing fireproof filing cabinet is designed to withstand temperatures exceeding normal fires. This video shows a standard filing cabinet and a FireKing filing cabinet, in an oven at 1500-degrees for 30 minutes, then dropped from a height of 3 stories to see what happens to its contents. The cabinets ate tested to withstand structural failures, such as ceiling collapses, floor cave-ins, walls falling down, etc. Non-fire rate cabinets have their contents disintegrated, while FireKing withstands.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Limited lifetime warranty with free replacement after fire guarantee. Contact customer service for warranty terms and conditions. If mechanical parts of the vertical file cabinets break down with normal use, FireKing, at its option, repair or replace the defective parts to the original owner of the safe. Labor costs will be paid by FireKing for two years from the date of purchase with prior authorization. In the event that a FireKing File Cabinets is damaged in a fire, at any time while in possession of the original purchaser, Kire King will replace the cabinet free of charge, and ship it freight collect to the original owner.
